Gary Shilling has even published a book on the topic: The Age of Deleveraging: Investment Strategies for a Decade of Slow Growth and Deflation — it's not his first book on the topic, as he wrote a couple others and I would then consider him a bit like Robert Prechter — visionary, but dismissed as crazy because way to early in his forecasts.

It's great to see how the ignorant journalists give him "lessons" and "teach" him the economy and the FRS works...
